Cyclones Volunteer during teachers walkout at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma

Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Teacher Walkout Volunteering Opportunity:   Casady Cyclones responded to the following request of the  Food Bank on April 7th,The teacher walkout is still going on, and the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is in urgently need of help to rush nutritious emergency food to children in need.”  



The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma has had a coordinated response to provide food assistance to children, families and school personnel during the teacher walkout this week. 

How is the Food Bank Helping
Children:  Increased meal production though Hope’s Kitchen, which provides meals to children after school and during school breaks through partner Kids Café sites.

Families: Prepared, packed and distributed family boxes full of nutritious food in impacted areas through our network of community-based partner agencies in 53 central and western Oklahoma counties.

How you can help:

Packing fresh produce: radishes, peppers, and onions

Mrs. Clay was the site supervisor of the afternoon shift. Blair D., Ethan and Colton N. Jose A, Luke A., Caleb R. and Jackson W. volunteered in the afternoon shift.  Nika Gi and Abby R. volunteered in the morning shift despite harsh weather conditions.



The afternoon shift packed over 4,000 meals of fresh peppers, radishes, and onions for needy Oklahomans

Safra and Mariam S. service club YAC (Youth Active in the Community) Co-Presidents and the Student Council President, Luke A. coordinated this volunteer experience for Casady Cyclones.
