Congratulations to Hannah Jordan, Eleanor Kirkpatrick Franco-American Fellow

Hannah Jordan has been named as one of five students in central Oklahoma to participate in the Franco-American Fellows Program who will travel to France to study specific topics. Each year, l’Alliance Française d’Oklahoma City offers an opportunity for metro-area French students who are chosen to participate in a two-week research project while staying with French families and attending a French school. Hannah's topic is "A Socioeconomic Comparison of Single Parenting Between France and the United States."

The program is open to central Oklahoma French students, ages 16 to 22, who attend public or private high schools, career technology centers, or community colleges. l'Alliance Française d’Oklahoma City is the only organization within the United states that offers a Fellows Program. This program is a joint project between the Alliance Française d’Oklahoma City and the French Education Ministry with the support of the Oklahoma State Department of Education. A grant covers the costs of airline travel, lodging, and meals. Additional funding for the Oklahoma students is made possible through the generosity of the Eleanor Kirkpatrick Fellows Endowment. l'Alliance Française d’Oklahoma City is the only organization within the United states that offers a Fellows Program.
