Isabella stated, "The absolute highlight of my summer was my trip to Costa Rica. I went on a school sponsored trip with 20 other kids through my old high school in Iowa. We spent an entire day remodeling a school in one of Costa Rica's poorest areas. The school provides free day care for young children and food to struggling families. I built cucumber plants for them to grow food and spent so much time playing with the little neighborhood kids who go to the school as they struggled to teach me Spanish.
