Professional Development for Educators Summer 2016
From the Desk of Katherine Berger Kaye
Cathy Kaye <cathy@cbkassociates.com>
This summer I offer four institutes -- one 3-day Foundations of Service Learning in Atlanta, a 3-day Advanced Institute on Service Learning again at Carey Conference Center in NY, and a 2-day Institute on Service Learning in Ohio. Also, after the Advanced institute, I am holding an institute on How to be a Great Presenter beginning on Wednesday dinner through Friday at 3:00. This is an extremely small gathering guaranteeing personal attention and if you are interested in attending, please email me as soon as possible to hold you place. Registration will increase starting May 16. I guarantee this will be helpful on many levels. Educators have requested this often so now's the time! Additional information is found in the attached document. Educators at K-12 through university are most welcome, along with preservice teachers, and organizations wanting to advance service learning leadership.

In addition to my travels to promote purposeful education, key new work includes
- Bringing leadership programs to schools for youth -- including week-long experiences
- Afterschool programs currently meeting the needs of 3500 youth in 57 Guilford County elementary schools, and a new middle school advisory program also for Guilford County Schools
- A new high school advisory program, an idea I have been developing for years, is coming to fruition in partnership with my colleague Barbara Cervone, for an international school in Kuala Lumpur
- Extensive work on critical reflection for K-12 and higher ed for schools and universities in the US and overseas.
- Reimagining Curriculum Development processes for academic and service learning outcomes
and More. If you are interested in any of these programs or have other needs, please be in touch. All of the work through CBK Associates continues to be custom designed to best suit the identified needs and strengthen programs and educational institutions.
And my book The Complete Guide to Service Learning is soon to be published in Chinese. If this interests you, email me for more details.
Please share the attached flyer with educators you know all over the world. I would be most grateful for the assistance in getting the word out. Do follow me on Twitter @cbkaye and on Facebook and Linked In at Cathryn Berger Kaye.
And please drop a note to let me know how you are, where you are, and how your continued work is growing wonderful youth!
