Pumpkin Drops at LD

Critical and creative thinking as well as problem solving and crafting just the right landing pad were all factored in for this year’s Casady School Pumpkin Drop.  The LD pumpkin drops were assisted by Mr. Garth Giles and the Casady Grounds Team.  Special thanks to Mr. George Casey for creating and sharing this video.

The pumpkin drop is a problem based learning opportunity for students involving the Purdue SLED (Science Learning through Engineering Design) Program.   Institutions of higher education (Purdue) partner with K thru 12 to effect deep, lasting improvement in K thru 12 mathematics and science education.
